Step 1: Plug the Polaris into the AC Adapter so that the device is charging.
Step 2: If applicable, establish an internet connection.
Step 3: If applicable, navigate to the main menu by pressing F1.
Step 4: Close all open applications by pressing Space + Enter + D (dots 1, 4, 5).
Step 5: Navigate to the Utilities menu by pressing the letter U (dots 1, 3, 6).
Step 6: Open the Upgrade Firmware screen by pressing the letter U (dots 1, 3, 6)
Step 7: With the combo-box set to Online, press Enter to begin the update.
Please note that when completing an online firmware upgrade that the device needs to download then install the firmware. Depending on your internet speed, this could take some time. Your device will power on and off several times during the installation. Once done, you can check your firmware version by pressing Space + V (dots 1, 2, 3, 6) from the main menu.
